Over 1,000 Afghan government military personnel retreat to Tajikistan after clashes with Taliban fighters

AKIPRESS.COM - Taliban captured Hohon, Shikai, Nusai, Mohimai, Shugnon, Sulton Ishkashim districts in Badakhshan Province of Afghanistan in the night of July 4-5. These districts have a comon border with Tajikistan stretching for 910 km, the Border Troops of Tajikistan reported.
Following armed clashes with Taliban fighters, some 1,037 military personnel of Afghan government forces retreated to Tajikistan.
The Afghan government military personnel were allowed by Tajik border guards to cross the border into Tjaikistan.
More than 300 Afghan military personnel retreated to Tajikistan on July 4.
