AKIPRESS.COM - Taalatbek Masadykov has been appointed Vice Chairman of the Security Council of Kyrgyzstan.
The respective order was signed by President Sadyr Japarov.
This is a new post introduced by the President.
Since 2016, Masadykov, 60, is head of the organizing committee of the movement in honor of WW II veterans and other wars.
He has university degree from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations, Master's degree from the Asia and Africa Institute of the Moscow State University majoring in Afghan and Iranian literature.
He served as political asviser in UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) in 2002-2003. From 2003 to 2006, he headed UNAMA field offices in Gardez and Kandahar. During 2007-2008, he was UNAMA senior political advisor. In 2009-2014, he was UNAMA's political director.
