President Rahmon receives Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon received China's State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi, who arrived in Dushanbe on official visit, the Tajik Foreign Ministry said. During their meeting, the Foreign Ministers of Tajikistan and China discussed the implementation of the agreements reached by the leaders of the two countries, Afghanistan and the regional security situation and the state and prospects of cooperation.
The Ministers exchanged views on relevant regional and international issues, as well as cooperation between the two countries within the framework of international and regional organizations, including the UN, SCO and CICA.
The sides agreed to strengthen cooperation in political, economic and investment spheres, transport, agriculture and health, as well as in COVID-19 response.
At the end of the meeting new cooperation documents were signed.
Foreign Minister Wang Yi today will take part in the meeting of the SCO Council of Foreign Ministers and the first meeting of the SCO-Afghanistan Contact Group at the ministerial level.
