Kyrgyz Deputy Minister of Economy and Finances, Director of Central Treasury appointed

AKIPRESS.COM - Zair Chokoev has been appointed Deputy Minister of Economy and Finances, Director of Central Treasury under the Ministry of Economy and Finances of Kyrgyzstan.
The respective order was signed by Cabinet Chief Ulukbek Maripov on July 13.
Zair Chokoev, 61, holds university degree in economics from the Kyrgyz State University.
From 1994 to 1998, he held various posts in the Ministry of Finances, including head of the pulic debt and assets department.
During 1999-2001, he was member of the National Commission for Securities Market.
From 2007 to 2014, he was Deputy Chairman of the Board of the National Bank.
Since 2015, he was Chairman of the Board of Chang An Bank.
From 2018 to March 2021 he was member of the Board of Directors of Kyrgyzstan Bank.
