No mass Eid al-Adha prayer will be held in Bishkek due to coronavirus

AKIPRESS.COM - The traditional Eid al-Adha prayer on Bishkek's old main square will not take place this year.
Prayers will be read in mosques instead.
This is due to the coronavirus spike in Kyrgyzstan.
Kyrgyzstan marks Eid on July 20.
The Eid al-Adha marks end of pilgrimage to Mecca. The festival of sacrifice involves slaughtering an animal and sharing the meat in three equal parts - for family, for relatives and friends, and for poor people.
