National Security Committee officer suspected of attempted rape

AKIPRESS.COM - A young woman from Bishkek filed an attempted rape report with police against the National Security Committee employee. She said the harassment occurred on the night of June 3 in the village of Besh-Kungei near Bishkek. She met the suspected harasser at home of her work supervisor's friend. The suspect offered to drop her off. She said she agreed because there was the suspect's girlfriend inside the car as well. But eventually he dropped off his girlfriend first, and after that he reportedly started harassing her not taking her to house.
She could only return home at 7 a.m. after persuading the driver to head to Bishkek. She made an audio recording of the incident.
Chui region police department said the young woman born in 2002 turned to police on June 4. She said that around 4:30 a.m. on June 3, the suspect she did not know well attempted to rape her. Probe into attempted rape was launched.
During the interrogation, the girl said that she met the suspect at the house of a friend of her internship supervisor. After the dinner, the new acquaintance offered her a ride, but on the way he tried to rape her in the car.
The officers identified the suspect, A.T., born in 1993. He denies any wrongdoing. The investigation continues.
