President Rahmon's sister passes away at age 64

AKIPRESS.COM - President Emomali Rahmon's sister Kurbonbi Rahmonova died on July 20 at age 64.
The cause of death was not named officially.
A doctor on condition of anonymity told RFE/RL Rahmonova died of COVID-19. He said the woman had confirmed coronavirus infection and health workers struggled for her life for 10 days.
Kurbonbi Rahmonova was spouse of Houlmin Safarov, director of the forest and hunting state enterprise, who was shot to death near his house in June 2012.
