Rahmon and Putin discuss situation in Afghanistan

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon held a phone conversation with President Vladimir Putin.
Putin offered condolences to Rahmon over death of his sister at the beginning of the conversation.
The sides exchanged views on a range of relevant issues of bilateral relations of strategic partnership.
A special attention was paid to the schedule of planned bilateral and multilateral meetings.
The upcoming official visit of President Puting to Tajikistan was discussed as well.
The leaders spoke for further efforts of the sides in strengthening of cooperation in the framework of international and regional organizations.
The Presidents discussed issues related to upcoming SCO and CSTO summits.
The situation in Afghanistan was considered among other issues. The Presidents agreed to further coordinate actions in connection with critical development of situation in that country.
