Ex-President Atambayev's son becomes Bishkek local coucilor

AKIPRESS.COM - The son of ex-President Almazbek Atambayev, Kadyr Atambayev, has become Bishkek local councilor.
The newly elected members of the Bishkek local council convened for their first meeting today.
Kadyr Atambayev received received ID card, badge and was sworn in. He won a seat in the Bishkek local council as a candidate of Social Democrats party, which gained 5 mandates in the repeat local council elections held on July 11.
Kadyr Atambayev, 28, is youngest son of the ex-President.
He graduated from Bilkent University in Ankara.
Six parties won seats in the Bishkek local council, including Emgek - 11 seats, Ata Jurt Kyrgyzstan - 9 seats, Ishenim - 8 seats, Yntymak - 7 seats, Onuguu-Progress - 5 seats, Social Democrats - 5 seats.
