Presidents of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan hold talks in Tashkent

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Kazakhstan Kasym-Jomart Tokayev today met President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Tengrinews.kz reports.
The official ceremony has started outside the President's Residence. The national anthems of two countries were performed. President Mirziyoyev welcomed the official delegation of Kazakhstan.
President Kasym-Jomart Tokayev is accompanied on this visit by Foreign Minister Beibut Atamkulov, National Security Committee Chairman Karim Masimov, First Vice Chief of the President's Administration Darhan Kaletayev, Deputy Prime Minister Jenis Kasymbek, Minister of Labor and Social Security Berdibek Saparbaev, Defense Minister Nurlan Yermekbaev, National Economy Minister Ruslan Dalenov, Minister of Culture and Sport Arystanbek Muhamediuly, President's aide Timur Suleimenov, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan Darhan Satybaldy, Minister of Energy Kanat Bozumbaev.
This is the first visit of President Tokayev to Uzbekistan at the invitation of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov greeted President Tokayev upon landing at Tashkent Airport.
The Presidents are expected to adopt the joint declaration and a package of bilateral documents aimed at further enhancement of multifaceted cooperation.
The Presidents will attend the official opening ceremony of the Year of Kazakhstan in Uzbekistan.
