Participants of SCO Media Forum define common tasks

Bishkek, May 24, 2019. /Kabar/. Heads of delegations and agencies supervising the media activities of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states have identified common tasks that should be considered at the agenda of Media Forum in Bishkek.
The participants thanked in their welcoming speeches at the opening ceremony President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov for his warm welcome and assessed his presentation, highlighting his words about the role of information and its dissemination today.
They pointed out that the SCO heads of state attach importance the media’s role, as evidenced by their initiatives to organize such meetings, as well as their personal presence in the dialogue. This will help to create a new model of international relations, developing new ways of information exchange, and creating a common and competitive content about the SCO activity, its history, goals, objectives and achievements.
There is importance to strengthen mutual exchange not only of information content about their countries, but also to jointly develop professional resources by exchanging human resources, organizing events to share experiences and regular visits of heads of media for this. Such steps will be in line with the concept of the Shanghai spirit and will successfully demonstrate the strength of the Organization to the international community.
The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Media Forum is held in Bishkek today, on May 24, with the participation of the SCO media representatives, dialogue partners and observer countries.
