President Jeenbekov takes part in opening of SCO Media Forum

Bishkek, May 24, 2019. / Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov took part in the opening of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Media Forum.
The head of Kyrgyzstan made a keynote speech at the opening of the Forum.
The event was organized under the chairmanship of the Kyrgyz Republic in the SCO. Heads of government agencies, representatives of the SCO Secretariat, leading media outlets, as well as media experts from SCO member states, observers and dialogue partners are invited to the Media Forum.
The main topic of the Media Forum is "The Role of the Media in the Development of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization". The participants will discuss modern media development trends and common approaches to the development of a common information space of the SCO. During the forum, panel sessions are expected to be held on the following topics: "Dynamic promotion of the SCO platform, through media resources of the SCO countries" and "Creating a single platform for effective interaction between the media of the SCO countries".
In the framework of the SCO, meetings of the heads of defense ministries, foreign ministers, ministers of culture and secretaries of the Security Councils of the SCO member states were held in Bishkek. In addition, the Business Forum and the SCO Women Forum took place.
