Nazarbayev decorates Jeenbekov with Order of First President of Kazakhstan

Nur-Sultan, May 28, 2019. /Kabar/. The first President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev awarded Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov the Order of the First President of Kazakhstan-Leader of the Nation Nursultan Nazarbayev.
The award was presented to the President of Kyrgyzstan in honor of the 5th anniversary of the signing of the Eurasian Economic Union Treaty, as well as for his special contribution to deepening and expanding cooperation with the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The awarding ceremony took place during the bilateral meeting of Jeenbekov and Nazarbayev.
The President of Kyrgyzstan arrived in Kazakhstan to participate in the jubilee meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council (SEEC), which will be held in Nur-Sultan on May 28-29.
The Order of the First President of Kazakhstan – Leader of the Nation Nursultan Nazarbayev, also referred to simply as the Order of Nazarbayev is a state award of the Republic of Kazakhstan. It was established on Jan. 1, 2001 in honor of President Nursultan Nazarbayev who was at the time, the first and only President of Kazakhstan.
It is awarded to Kazakh and foreign citizens for contributions to the development and prosperity of the country.
