President of Uzbekistan receives heads of CIS law enforcement bodies

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received heads of interior ministries and departments of the Commonwealth of Independent States participating in the events of the CIS Council of Interior Ministers in Tashkent.
The heads of the delegations of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan arrived in Tashkent for the meeting.
Mirziyoyev highlighted the role of the CIS Council of Interior Ministers in cooperation on fights against terrorism, extremism, drug trafficking, organized crimes and trafficking in humans.
During the meeting, the parties discussed regional security, including the peaceful resolution of the situation in Afghanistan and the strengthening of partnership in the fight against transnational crime.
