Shymkent joins EBRD Green Cities

AKIPRESS.COM - The Kazakh city of Shymkent entered the list of EBRD's Green Cities project, the press service of the city administration said. This is due to the results of a business trip of Shymkent mayor Gabidulla Abdrahmanov to London, where he visited the EBRD headquaters.
"The signed memorandum allows to launch and finance projects on lighting of the city and construction of new sewage treatment plants," the statement says.
The EBRD's glogal project Green Cities is a basic tool of the EBRD framework program. It helps cities develop their strategic goals for sustainable development.
The project also envisages actions and innovative projects that help in resolving environmental problems.
