Bishkek, Aug.1, 2019. /Kabar/. "Prime Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev and Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov, who has arrived in Bishkek for a working visit, will meet today. Issues in all areas of bilateral cooperation are on the agenda," Deputy Prime Minister Jenish Razakov told reporters.
"First of all, these are border delimitation issues. Secondly, the meeting will include discussion of bilateral economic issues. Also on the agenda are the issues of determining the order of checkpoints' work and implementation of the agreement on the joint use of water resources. That is, the heads of government of the two countries will discuss the entire range of bilateral relations," Razakov said.
The deputy PM added the work on the identification of disputed areas at the border is actively carried out.
Both sides are determined and in positive attitude. "Of course, there are also problematic issues and disagreements, but there is dialogue. On the Kyrgyz-Uzbek border, 92% have already been described. That is, 85% is already included in the main delimitation agreement, and after that we have described about 8% more sections," he said.
Deputy PM Razakov noted there are 10 indeterminate sections left. At the moment, negotiations on these 10 main areas are underway. "Basically, these plots are located in Jalal-Abad Oblast. The exchange of land plots is not being considered and there is no such issue," he said.
