President Tokayev to address nation for first time in September

AKIPRESS.COM - President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will address the nation for the first time on September 2, Sputnik Kazakhstan reports. "In the massage to the nation, which I plan on September 2, I will give orders to the Parliament and government concerning the criminal penalty for drug dealing,, pedophilia, sexual abuse and other crimes," he told on Twitter.
To date, Kazakhstan gives 3-5 years for rape according to the criminal code. If the crime is committed by several people or with extreme brutality, the guilties are sentenced from 5 to 10 years. If the crime is resulted in death of a person, then the punishment is 10-15 years of imprisonment.
In case of pedophilia, the term is up to 17 years in prison.
A life sentence is given to those, whose guilty of raping minors is proven. A court also can render a chemical castration.
