Bishkek-Kant-Tokmok gas pipeline and Tokmok gas distribution station launched

Bishkek, Sept.2, 2019. /Kabar/. Today, Sept. 2, Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov visited the head office of Gazprom Kyrgyzstan LLC, where a project to launch the Bishkek-Kant Tokmok gas pipeline branch and the Tokmok gas distribution station was presented.
Then, Jeenbekov in online mode by means of video link took part in the launch of the Bishkek-Kant Tokmok gas pipeline branch and Tokmok gas distribution station, his press service said.
The President congratulated the citizens of Kyrgyzstan and Chui Oblast on this significant event, once again noting the contribution of Gazprom to the development of the economy and strengthening the energy security of the country.
"We hope that this project will increase the economic potential of Chui Oblast and lay the foundation for further gasification of other regions," the head of state noted.
He reminded in 2014, the country's gasification level was 22%, and at the end of 2018 it was 30%. Over 40 thousand households were supplied with gas.
The Kyrgyz leader emphasized Gazprom's investments have a positive impact on the national economy and preservation of the environment.
The launch of the Bishkek-Kant-Tokmok gas pipeline branch and the Tokmok gas distribution station will ensure uninterrupted supply of natural gas to consumers in Tokmok and Kant. There will also be an opportunity for further gasification of Issyk-Kul and Naryn Oblasts, the press service of Gazprom Kyrgyzstan said.
