Exhibition of Guangdong Province’s Goods opens in Osh

Bishkek, Sept.6, 2019. /Kabar/. Holding an Exhibition of Goods of Guangdong Province in Osh will play a major role in strengthening cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and China and developing cross-border trade, Kyrgyz Deputy Prime Minister Zamirbek Askarov said at the official opening ceremony of the event, the press service of the Government reported.
"The Exhibition is organized in order to strengthen relations between the two countries within the framework of the One Belt, One Road concept, adopted between Kyrgyzstan and China. I expect from this event the conclusion of new agreements in the trade and economic sphere, as well as new investment projects. By opening new plants and factories in our country, you are opening the way to a multi-million dollar market," Askarov said.
He noted the organization of the Exhibition was supported personally by President Sooronbay Jeenbekov.
"As of the end of 2018, the amount of direct investments from China amounted to USD 338.14 million. In the near future, several companies are expected to open for a total amount of USD 151 million. Thanks to the policy, our country is improving its position in the world ratings on the introduction of business," he concluded.
The Exhibition of Guangdong Province’s Goods in Central Asia, which will now be held twice a year, runs from 6 to 9 September in Osh.
The Exhibition presents a wide range of products: furniture, building materials, hotel products, electronics and electrical appliances, more than a thousand types of products. Prices are low, as direct sales are organized.
Guangdong Province has held the first place in the national economy of China for 30 consecutive years.
