Parliamentary group for investigation of situation around murdered Chinese businessman Aierken Saimaiti established

AKIPRESS.COM - The temporary parliamentary group to investigate the situation around Chinese businessman Aierken Saimaiti was established under the parliament. The current proposal was announced at the parliament meeting on Nov 21. The commission consisted of MPs Omurbek Bakirov, Saidolimjon Jurayev, Aaly Karashev, Iskender Matraimov, Mirlan Jeenchoroyev, Zakir Sharapov, Talant Mamytov, Daniyar Tolonov, Almazbek Ergeshov, Tynchtykbek Shinazarov, Altynbek Sulaimanov, Almambet Shykmamatov.
Previously, MP Altynbek Sulaimanov suggested that the group should investigate who was Saimaiti, how he arrived in Kyrgyzstan and obtained the Kyrgyz passport and why he was driving the car with the Kyrgyz diplomatic plates.
MP Sulaimanov said the group should cooperate with Turkish Parliament and Turkish law enforcement agencies.
Aierken Saimaiti was murdered on November 10 in Istanbul. He was involved in the high-profile probe into the withdrawal of $700 million from Kyrgyzstan.
The car with the diplomatic plates of the Consulate General was found at the murder scene. Consul Erkin Sopokov was sacked by President Sooronbai Jeenbekov after he could not explain why his car was there.
