Environmental Protection Agency complains on poor work of law enforcement bodies with poachers in Kyrgyzstan

AKIPRESS.COM - Director of the State Agency for Environmental Protection and Forestry of Kyrgyzstan Mirslav Amankulov during his working trip to Issyk-Kul region met with governor of the region Akylbek Osmonaliyev, the Agency reported.
During the talks, Amankulov said that the materials on violations handed over to the law enforcement bodies are not considered. In this regard, the Agency can not fight against poachers and violators of the environmental law, Amankulov noted.
Osmonaliyev promised that the issue will be raised at the upcoming session of the coordination council and the materials will be discussed.
The sides also discussed bilateral cooperation in the field of improvement and preserving ecology of the tourist region and greening of Karakol town and the region as a whole.
At the meeting, Amankulov set the tasks for geads of forests and specially protected territories and called for close work with local authorities. He asked them to draw attention to the environmental situation of the region and development of eco tourism in the region.
