Tajikistan blocks access to CA-News website

AKIPRESS.COM - The Central Asian News Service (CA-News) website has been blocked in Tajikistan. Users of the news website have to use proxy sites and VPN to access the website, which covers five Central Asian states and Mongolia.
Blockage of news websites and search engines started in Tajikistan since May 2019. Apart from search engines, Google among them, YouTube, Facebook, Odnoklassniki, Vkontakte, some messengers and other sites were blocked in Tajikistan in spring.
The Russian media said the access to the websites is restricted across the country. The mobile operators said the websites are blocked at the initiative of the Tajik authorities.
The government has not made any comments yet.
Another news website, Asia-Plus, which is blocked in Tajikistan as well, said the websites can be blocked by security agencies in addition to the Communication Service of Tajikistan.
The Tajik service of RFE/RL was inaccessible for several days, but is accessible without VPN since this morning.
