Third peacekeeping forces of Kazakhstan arrive in Lebanon

AKIPRESS.COM - The third consolidated peacekeeping forces of Kazakhstan arrived in Lebanon for participation in the United Nations Interim Force mission in Lebanon, the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan reports. The unit of 120 military officers of Kazakhstan was met by comander of the Indian battalion Narayan Bati. He welcomed the Kazakh troops.
"The first and second force rotation performd their service perfectly. I know that you underwent a special course in India. You are the bests of bests and I am honored to welcome you here," the Indian commander said and wished the soldiers successful service.
The Kazakh troops along with the Indian battalion in Lebanon are performing a certain set of tasks, including the most important of them is patrolling of 16 km of the Lebanese-Israeli border called the Blue Line.
The soldiers monitor the situation everyday and protect and strengthen relations of representatives of the peacekeeping forces of the other countries with locals.
The Kazakhstani forces will be serving in Lebanon until May 2020.
