Cardivascular diseases number 1 cause of death in Kyrgyzstan

AKIPRESS.COM - Some 24,593 human deaths were registered in Kyrgyzstan for 9 months of this year, according to the National Statistical Committee. More than half of deaths were caused by cardiovascular diseases - 12,721 cases.
Other causes included respiratory diseases (1,352 cases), neoplastic diseases (3,101 cases).
1,469 people died of digestive system diseases.
535 people died in injuries following traffic accidents.
External causes were in 1,818 cases.
188 people died of alcohol intoxication.
292 people committed suicides. 99 were murdered.
477 people were killed by infectious and parasitic diseases.
36 women died of pregnancy complications, during child delivery or after birth of a child.
1,958 infants died under 1 year.
The main reasons of infant mortality were complications developing in perinatal period, of which 1,383 infants died. 292 infants died of congenital disorders, 157 died of respiratory diseases.
