AKIPRESS.COM - The government of Kazakhstan should take the toughest measures against universities that turned to the offices on 'publishing and issuing diplomas', President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said today at the closing ceremony of the Youth Year, Zakon.kz reports.
Another important thing is to increase the quality and access of education, he said.
"According to the Atameken national chamber of entrepreneurs, about 60% of graduates of universities can not work in their degree field. This shows the quality of our education," Tokayev noted.
Young people have side jobs even during their study, however, they would better work on their majors, the President said.
