AKIPRESS.COM - The number of inmates in closed institutions was decreased by 1,000 people in 11 months, UN Office on Drugs and Crime's expert on penitentiary issues Baatyr Saparbayev said at a meeting of the Judicial Reform Council on 10 December.
"This is a big success, although those people are on probation. I think that the young team of probation bodies will cope with it," he said.
