Kazakhstan reduces quota for reception of repatriates in 2020

AKIPRESS.COM - The government of Kazakhstan issued a quota for receiving of 1,378 people in 2020, which is by 653 people less than in 2019, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Kazakhstan reported.
The quota for this year is allocated as follows: 500 people on Pavlodar region, 350 on Kostanay region, 258 on Akmola region, 150 on East Kazakhstan region, 120 on North Kazakhstan region.
Those registered in the regional quota will be provided support as part of the state program of development of employment and entrepreneurship for 2017-2020.
In 2019, the government of Kazakhstan confirmed the regional quota for reception of 2,031 people.
A total of 17,661 ethnic Kazakhs returned to their homeland in 2019 and received the status of repatriates.
