Kazakhstanis in quarantined cruise ship to return home at their own expense — MFA

AKIPRESS.COM - Kazakhstanis in the coronavirus-hit cruise ship in Japan will return home for their own expense, Foreign Minister Mukhtar Tileuberdi said at the Parliament session.
"First of all, our citizens, thanks God, are not infected. Now the quarantine is lifted. Additional testing will be conducted when people will be released from board. If they [Kazakhstanis] undergo the checkup successfully, we will return them," Tileuberdi noted.
If the Kazakhstanis are infected, they will probably undergo a treatment in Japan.
Spokeman of the Foreign Ministry Aibek Smadiyarov said that each country will be taking their citizens from boad in turns.
"The turn of Kazakhstanis will not come today," he added.
Four Kazakh citizens are in the cruise ship Diamond Princess, which has been quarantined in Japan since February 5. The condition of Kazakhstanis are reported satisfactory.
