Almazbek Atambayev’s health worsened: Lawyer

AKIPRESS.COM - Former president Almazbek Atambaev has critically low blood pressure, said his the youngest son Kadyrbek Atambayev on Feb 19. Atambayev's attorney Zamir Jooshev said the last time his pressure was 76/60.
"My client has been measuring pressure every day for the last two weeks. He has low blood pressure in the mornings. Almazbek Atambayev says that this may lead to very bad consequences at any moment," said Jooshev.
Jooshed noted that Atambayev's condition has been like this for a long time.
Former president of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev was detained on August 8, 2019 in the second storming of his house in Koi-Tash village outside Bishkek. Clashes between the SWAT soldiers and supporters of Atambayev occurred in his home on August 7 evening.
The Parliament of Kyrgyzstan stripped Atambayev of his immunity from prosecution on June 27, 2019. Atambayev was accused of illegal freeing of crime boss Aziz Batukayev from prison, concealment of income, corruption, power abuse.
