AKIPRESS.COM - More than 35,000 Kazakhstanis are in South Korea today, including 12,000 illegally, spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Aibek Smadiyarov said, zakon.kz reported.
The Embassy of Kazakhstan is taking a number of measures on notification of citizens about the coronavirus situation in South Korea, he noted.
Registration of citizens in the consular department is being carried out everyday, according to him.
"Korea is not closing now and it is not yet time to speak about evacuation of citizens," he added.
Authorities of Kazakhstan urges Kazakh citizens in South Korea including those who have illegal status to appeal to the consular service of the Embassy, Smadiyarov noted.
