Emergency declared in Kazakhstan not to affect transportation of goods, President Tokayev says

AKIPRESS.COM - President Kasym-Jomart Tokayev addressed the nation over the emergency situation declared in Kazakhstan. The President confirmed 9 COVID-19 cases were registered in the country and warned about risks of possible spread of the virus.
The declared emergency situation will not affect transportation of goods, the President promised.
Sanitary and epidemiological safety measures were stepped up on the border crossing points.
"We have declared the emergency situation in Kazakhstan. Many planned trips on holidays, wanted to attend concerts. Unfortunately, the plans will have to be skipped for the sake of health," the President said.
