Over 400,000 families in Kyrgyzstan need assistance amid coronavirus pandemic

AKIPRESS.COM - The government is working to provide assistance to needy citizens, Deputy Prime Minister Aida Ismailova told a briefing today.
The 1227 hotline receives calls from citizens needing food assistance, she said.
281,000 calls and aid requests were received in total. The number of families needing assistance reached 400,609.
Food assistance was provided to 304,649 families so far. This work will be continued, Aida Ismailova said.
