AKIPRESS.COM - In case the situation does not get worse, the state of emergency will be lifted in Kazakhstan on May 11, President Kasym-Jomart Tokayev said in Senate on May 4.
"The quarantine measures will remain. This is very important for safety of population. I hope our citizens will gradually get back to normal life. We have a long-term strategic development course. We plan to carry out a comprehensive program for restoration of economic activities. We need to learn lessons from the current situation," President Tokayev said.
The President said new initiatives are needed for modernization of the national healthcare system. "It is important to build modern hospitals and to provide them with all necessary equipment. We should pay a particular attention to development of medical science since now on. Our scholars have a big potential. We need to create a proper environment for professionals and provide real support to them. We will also modernize education and science. At the same time we need to use the latest technologies and digitization. This is one of the primary tasks," President Tokayev said.
