People hit by Sardoba dam burst in Kazakhstan to receive $1,000 from Alisher Usmanov’s donation

AKIPRESS.COM - Prime Minister Askar Mamin and Turkestan region governor Umirzak Shukeyev met Myrzakent villagers displaced after Sardoba dam burst in Uzbekistan. The people hit by the tragedy received the first certificates for the money provided by Alisher Usmanov. These funds will be transferred to 5,202 personal accounts of heads of affected families. The documents are being collected from citizens now. After collection of all necessary documents each family will receive the money.
Uzbekistan-born Russian billionaire Alisher Usmanov donated $5.202 million for support of displaced people after flooding in Maktaaral district as a result of the partial collapse of the Sardoba dam. This sum will be divided between 30,420 people, who will receive 422,000 tenge ($1,000) for each affected family.
