Tajikistan to launch virology laboratory in Sughd region

AKIPRESS.COM - The virology laboratory will be launched in Sughd region of Tajikistan in the next few days, where COVID-19 tests will be made, Khovar news agency reported with reference to Sughd region govenror Rajabboi Ahmadzoda.
The Ministry of Health Care and Social Protection was instructed to adjust operation of hospitals, outpatient facilities, healthcare centers, medical facilities and to supply them will medicines, modern equipment and food products.
The funding from the President's reserve fund was provided for urgent needs.
Tajikistan has so far confirmed 2,140 COVID-19 cases and 41 lethal cases linked to coronavirus infection.
