Ashgabat, EXPO 2020 organizers review organizational issues

AKIPRESS.COM - Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan held a video conference meeting with representatives of Organization Committee of the World EXPO 2020 Dubai. Turkmen officials stated that taking into account epidemiological situation in the world, Turkmenistan has supported initiative of the UAE on postponing the EXPO 2020 to next year. In this regard, the sides reviewed the organizational issues.
The sides supported the intensification of business contacts and highlighted that participation of Turkmenistan in the World Expo next year will help to get acquainted with best world experience in different spheres and expand scope of cooperation with foreign partners.
The Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) general assembly in Paris awarded Dubai as the host in 2013.
The total area of the Turkmen pavilion will cover 1,581 square meters. The exhibition building will be located on 976 square meters.
