AKIPRESS.COM - The Eurasian Economic Commission board considered June 9 the issue of Kazakhstan's control and inspection activities in relation to the goods of the Eurasian Economic Union at the checkpoints of the Kyrgyz-Kazakh state border.
The Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic said after consideration, Kazakhstan's measures have been recognized as a barrier for the EAEU market.
EEC Board requested the government of Kazakhstan to abolish excessive control over goods imported from the Kyrgyz Republic in the EAEU; speed up and simplify procedures for vehicles crossing the Kyrgyz-Kazakh state border; eliminate all types of control not provided for by EAEU law; ensure "green corridors" for perishable, seasonal goods and foodstuffs.
At the same time, the EEC board expressed concern about a big number of problems related to the movement of goods across the borders of EAEU member states, which became systemic and require a comprehensive approach to solving them. It was decided to establish a high-level working group of representatives of the EAEU countries, which will develop a road map for removal and prevention of obstacles to the movement of goods across the borders of the EAEU member states, including information exchange on tax and customs areas.
The Kyrgyz Republic welcomes the establishment of a high-level working group and stands for its soonest formation, the statement said.
