Situation with shortage of medical personnel disastrous in Kyrgyzstan - official

AKIPRESS.COM - Shortage of medical workers was observed since outbreak of pandemic, Kyrgyz Health Ministry's human resources department chief Aigul Boobekova said.
The country had shortage of medical personnel even before start of coronavirus pandemic, she added.
"We had a significant shortage of medical workers. The shortage of family practitioners was more than 2,000. Shortage of specialists at hospitals exeeded 1,000. But now amid pandemic and given that many medical workers fell is, the situation is disastrous," she said
