AKIPRESS.COM - In general, funds are allocated to combat COVID-19, including the purchase of medicines, however the shortage is observed as well, Deputy Prime Minister Erkin Asrandiyev on July 22. According to him, there is a shortage of medicines as demand has increased dramatically and the number of patients has increased.
The deficit is not due to a lack of resources - there are enough funds for the acquisition, he said.
"There are some problems with the increased demand for medicines around the world and orders may not be fulfilled quickly. There may be some difficulties with logistics. There are various reasons. Work in this direction is ongoing," he said.
Asrandiyev also added that hospitals to be built in Bishkek and Osh.
