President Mirziyoyev to address UN General Assembly

AKIPRESS.COM - President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will partake in the high-level general debate of the 75th session of the UN General Assembly, the president's press service reported.
The central events of the UN General Assembly will be held in form of a video conference for the first time in UN history due to coronavirus pandemic.
President Mirziyoyev will share his vision of relevant regional and global issues, will outline priorities in political, social, economic modernization of Uzbekistan in his speech.
The issues of joint COVID-19 response and mitigation of pandemic effects will be touched upon as well.
President Mirziyoyev is expected to suggest several important initiatives aimed at strengthening of peace and stability, sustainable development, deepening of constructive dialogue at the regional and global levels, promotion of human rights and freedoms, addressing modern challenges and threats, including climate change, food security issues, eradication of extreme poverty and poverty reduction.
