Ex-President Atambayev detained by National Security Committee

AKIPRESS.COM - Ex-President Almazbek Atambayev has been detained in Koi-Tash, the State National Security Committee reported. "Almazbek Atambayev, Kanat Sagymbayev, Damir Musakeyev were detained on October 10 as a resut of the special operation of the State National Security Committee and the Interior Ministry on the basis of the investigation order as part of the criminal probe into organization of mass disorders in Bishkek," the press service of the State National Security Committee reported.
The interdepartmental investigative group continues investigative and operative activities to locate and detain other participants of that crime.
Damir Musakeyev and Kanat Sagymbayev are former officers of the state guard service, they used to be bodyguards of ex-President Atambayev.
