Ex-Parliament Speaker of Kyrgyzstan probed for vote buying

AKIPRESS.COM - The Interior Ministry's Investigation Service launched probe against former Speaker of Kyrgyz Parliament Dastan Jumabekov for vote buying, said the Bir Duino human rights organization on October 20.
Rights defenders reported to police that Jumabekov gave money to a voter, a young mother from Talas region.
Jumabekov run for a parliament seat as part of the Kyrgyzstan political party #7 in the list.
In September during the election campaign Jumabekov went on a working visit to Talas region where he visited the maternity hospital. He gave 50 thousand soms from the parliament's reserve fund to parents of the newborn who was named after Dastan Jumabekov.
