AKIPRESS.COM - By the end of 2020, Kyrgyzstan will import 500 million kWh from Kazakhstan at 2.4 cents per 1 kWh, Deputy Prime Minister Ravshan Sabirov confirmed. Volume of water in Toktogul reservoir stands at 14.7 billion cubic meters or 2 billion cubic meters less than last year.
Kyrgyzstan had a commodity exchange with Kazakhstan in the amount of 300 million kWh of electricity to preserve the volume of water in the reservoir and meet the needs of consumers, he said.
"These activities were aimed at accumulating more water in the reservoir by next year," he said.
