AKIPRESS.COM - Newly approved candidate for Minister of Labor and Social Security of Kyrgyzstan Aliza Soltonbekova was asked at the plenary session of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan if the efforts are made to repatriate children of Kyrgyzstanis from Syria.
"The work is carried out now to repatriate children from Iraq. The Ministry is interacting with their relatives, they await arrival of children. We still receive requests for repatriation," Aliza Soltonbekova said.
MP Omurbek Bakirov said he received lots of inquiries from relatives asking for repatriation of children.
"Children under 6 years are kept in prison with their mothers. Children above 6 years are held separately from mothers. Around 80 children remain in prisons. The Labor Ministry and the Foreign Ministry are working on this problem. The Ministry is ready to bring children and to arrange rehabilitation for them," Soltonbekova stated.
