Eurasian Development Bank projects Kyrgyzstan's GDP to decline by 7.5% in 2020

AKIPRESS.COM - The Eurasian Development Bank projects Kyrgyzstan's GDP to decline by 7.5% in 2020, said Head of the Eurasian Development Bank's Country Analysis Center Alexei Kuznetsov on November 26 during a video conference in Bishkek. GDP of the Bank's member states in 2020 is expected to decline by 3.8%, he said.
Decline is expected at the level of 7.5% in Kyrgyzstan, in Armenia - 6.4%, Kazakhstan - 3%, in Belarus - 1.5% due to coronavirus restrictions, he noted.
Reducing of coronavirus infection, removal of pandemic-related restrictions will contribute to economic recovery and sustainable growth, he noted.
