Exchange rate expected at 83 soms per dollar: EDB

AKIPRESS.COM - By the end of 2021, the exchange rate is forecast at 83 soms per dollar, said Head of the Eurasian Development Bank's Country Analysis Center Alexei Kuznetsov on November 26 during a video conference in Bishkek.
High volatility in the exchange rates of the EAEU member countries is seen this year.
Most currencies are underrated and have potential for further strengthening, he said.
In 2021 the ruble is expected at 74.5 per dollar, the Belarusian ruble - 2.5, Tajik somoni - 11.5.
The Bank projects inflation reduction in moderate optimistic scenario, he said.
