MP accuses oil traders of not paying up to 100 bn soms in excise taxes

AKIPRESS.COM - "Oil traders have been bringing premium gasoline, mixing it with low-quality gasoline and selling it for many years without paying excise taxes," said MP Akkulu Berdiev at the session of the parliament. Budget deficit is forecasted at 35 billion soms in 2020, he added.
It's not 1 or 10 billion soms that the oil traders did not pay, he noted. It's 100 billion soms of missed excise taxes, he noted.
"This problems needs special attention, as this excise tax can cover 50% of the budget deficit," he said.
Instead of RON-92 gasoline, oil traders bring premium gasoline, mix it with low-quality gasoline and sell it, he noted.
