AKIPRESS.COM - Ministry of Agriculture proposes to lift the ban on corn exports from Kyrgyzstan. Previously on November 19, the government imposed a temporary ban on the export of some agricultural products from the Kyrgyz Republic in order to prevent a critical shortage of goods amid pandemic.
The Ministry of Economy held a meeting with corn producers on November 19 and they voiced their problems. They said they have contracts with foreign companies for the supply of corn grain and made prepayments. Therefore, to support domestic producers, the Ministry came up with the document on introducing the ban on export from January 1, 2021.
