Mongolia attends WHO meeting 'Primary health care: transforming vision into action'

AKIPRESS.COM - Minister of Health of Mongolia Munkhsaihan Togtmol attended the Primary Health Care: Transforming Vision Into Action virtual event co-hosted by the World Health Organization (WHO), United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and the Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan on December 14.
The virtual event launched the Operational Framework for Primary Health Care and discussed its relevance for strengthening PHC in the COVID-19 pandemic context and as part of building better.
"The Government of Mongolia remains committed to making primary health care more responsive and equitable to the needs of the population," said Minister of Health T.Munkhsaikhan in his remarks during the Ministerial Plenary Session, Montsame reported.
The Minister highlighted that the government puts emphasis on expanding the use of mobile technology in primary health care service delivery, making reforms in the financing of primary health care services, addressing challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, and ensuring preparedness in health care service delivery.
