Health Ministers of Russia, Kyrgyzstan discuss possible production of coronavirus vaccine in Kyrgyzstan

AKIPRESS.COM - Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan Alymkadyr Beishenaliev and Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko discussed possible launch of production of Russian Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine in Kyrgyzstan at a meeting on December 15 in Moscow, the Kyrgyz Health Ministry reported.
The Health Ministers discussed main areas of cooperation, including cooperation in COVID-19 response and epidemiological safety.
Health Minister Beishenaliev thanked Russia for provided humanitarian aid and noted a role of Russian medical specialists in responding to coronavirus peak of cases in Kyrgyzstan in July 2020.
The sides also discussed medical humanitarian support to Kyrgyzstan, including possible supply of Sputnik V vaccine.
Mikhail Murashko said Russia pays attention to providing support to Kyrgyzstan in COVID-19 response in view of friendly relations between two countries.
